Aramid Staple Fiber Fabric
Aramid fiber is firstly developed in 1960s by DuPont company in USA. The trade name of DuPont Para-Aramid is Kevlar, and also DuPont have developed Meta-Aramid named Nomex.in 1965. The full chemical name of Aramid is poly- p- phenylene terephthamide, It is an advanced high strength, high modulus synthetic fiber. Weight is only 1/5 of the steel, he strength is 5 to 6 times the strength of steel. The modulus is 2 to 3 times that of steel. Toughness is twice to steel. It has soft feel, good spinnability, good insulation performance, long term working life and flame resistance.
Unitex spun the staple aramid fiber to aramid fiber staple yarn and weave the fabric. The aramid staple fiber fabric is widely used for high-performance apparel like moto jeans, fireman garment, lab garment, chemical suits, welding clothes, anti-cutting gloves, military uniform, gun accessories, outdoor clothes/equipment, tent…etc.
Available for Aluminium/Silicone/Neoprene/PU/PTFE (Teflon)…etc coating. Color can be dyed.
