Aramid Fiber Sewing Thread
Aramid fiber is firstly developed in 1960s by DuPont company in USA. The trade name of DuPont Para-Aramid is Kevlar, and also DuPont have developed Meta-Aramid named Nomex.in 1965. The full chemical name of Aramid is poly- p- phenylene terephthamide, It is an advanced high strength, high modulus synthetic fiber. Weight is only 1/5 of the steel, he strength is 5 to 6 times the strength of steel. The modulus is 2 to 3 times that of steel. Toughness is twice to steel. It has soft feel, good spinnability, good insulation performance, long term working life and flame resistance.
Unitex Aramid Sewing Thread have extremely high strength, excellent heat resistance and flame retardant properties. Aramid Sewing Thread do not catch fire, melt or drop, so they are an excellent choice for flame-retardant applications. It’s widely used for sewing firefighter uniform, anti-cutting gloves, insulation covers. Weaving cloth, cable protection, cable reinforcement.
