Aramid Fiber Sleeve
description

Aramid fiber is firstly developed in 1960s by DuPont company in USA. The trade name of DuPont Para-Aramid is Kevlar, and also DuPont have developed Meta-Aramid named Nomex.in 1965. The full chemical name of Aramid is poly- p- phenylene terephthamide, It is an advanced high strength, high modulus synthetic fiber. Weight is only 1/5 of the steel, he strength is 5 to 6 times the strength of steel. The modulus is 2 to 3 times that of steel. Toughness is twice to steel.  It has soft feel, good spinnability, good insulation performance, long term working life and flame resistance.

Aramid fiber sleeve is a biaxial braid of precisely oriented fibers of maximum stiffness, tortuosity stability and compressive strength. We process the sleeves making use of the 45 degrees of weaving process. When they are combined with resin, they can achieve optimal mechanical performance. The sleeve can easily and repeatedly be expanded open to fit over molding tools or cores. They can accommodate straight, uniform, cross section forms as well as nonlinear, irregular, cross section components. With the properties of low weight, abrasion resistance and high stiffness, etc., they are extensively applied in artificial limb, baseball bats, generator pole, car oil pipeline and so on.

1. Low gravity.

2. Electrical insulator.

3. Low thermal expansion coefficient.

4. High tensile strength and high tensile strength.

5. Elastic, high stability, high modulus and high fracture strength.

6. High chemical resistance, high stability, creep resistance and fatigue resistance.

7. High temperature resistance, flame resistance and non-melting will only be carbonized.
